Fellow Dunder Mifflinites -

It’s been a long time coming, but David Wallace just approved the opening of the first Massachusetts branch of Dunder Mifflin. As your new Regional Manager I am excited to be working with you at the Chicopee, MA branch.

We’re going to have a challenging few weeks ahead of us as we move from the world of in-person paper sales to our future as part of Dunder Mifflin Infinity, but if you’re up for it then so am I.

Before we get down to business I should explain that due some technical issues with Dunder Mifflin Infinity (which I’m sure are being worked out now) it might be best to communicate here, on this corporate blog. I’m going to be having important notices and updates on tasks daily and at this point in time, I’m not sure we can trust the DMI Corporate site to be fully functioning. Once it works out the kinks we can communicate over there. Until that time, please bookmark this site (DunderMifflinChicopee.wordpress.com) and check back daily for updates and notices.

I’m hoping that all of you will be active participants in our newly formed branch. David Wallace and our new boss, Ryan Howard, will be reviewing our branch periodically and the more employee participation we have the better our evaluation.

We are one of the larget branches in all of Dunder Mifflin which is wonderful, but know that this sudden growth could also work against us if we aren’t careful. As we are being judged by the same criteria as other branches, we need to make sure that ALL of the employees of the MA-Chicopee branch are active on a regular basis. We are penalized for having a sales force that does nothing but crossword puzzles all day. The more employee participation, the better our evaluation. The better our evaluation the more Schrutebucks we will be awarded which we can use to buy much needed office supplies and hopefully to throw a few camaraderie events.

Over the next few weeks we will have some important tasks to execute but I have nothing but faith in our team. During that time I’m going to be looking for a few capable employees to help me manage the branch. Potential positions include:

Receptionist
– someone to help manage the phone lines and incoming/outgoing emails

Assistant to the Branch Manager – someone to help make sure the team members stay on task, offer suggestions and do my laundry

Head of the Party Planning Committee - we are going to have some tough work ahead of us so I’d like to make sure we stop every once in a while and have a little fun.

More on these new positions soon. I’ll be back with an update soon as well as information on our next steps.

Feel free to leave me an email and introduce yourself.

Thanks

Kath
