Hey Chicoppeans. Sorry that things have been a little slow around here lately. Ryan has me working on all these powerpoint documents and its been hard to keep up with branch business. I think I have realized that I need a little help.
I talked to Michael Scott over in the Scranton branch and he says that not only does he have a #2, he also has an Assistant to the Regional Manager. I think that’s what I need.
If you’re interested in being the Assistant to the Regional Manager I’m taking applications starting today and an a AthRM will be chosen on Friday. The ideal candidate would be:
Determined
Worker
Intense
Good worker
Hard working
Terrific
As for the tasks associated with this position, I’ll need someone to:
- Help me maintain this blog and updates to the forums at the DMI Corporate site
- Hire moderators for the DMI Chicopee message boards that will be set up next week.
- Keep the spirits up of employees from time to time
If you’re interested and can REALLY committ, please let me know in the comments below. Tell me why you’d be an ideal candidate and you might just be chosen.
Hey Kath,
I would love to be your Assistant (to the) Regional Manager! I know you don’t know me, so here are a few reasons why. I am a huge fan of the Office, and your blog, GMMR, and I am ALWAYS on my computer at work, school, and home. I definitely have enough free time to commit to this.
Thanks for considering me!

I will also throw my name in the ring for A(t)TRM. Unlike Gennifer, however, I do sleep.
I’ve participated in every task, including webcams and photoshop tasks. I am a wiz at modifying Dilbert cartoons to personalize, change names, and otherwise mimic my “real life” job.
And also, I was totally named after an office character (although my parents didn’t know it at the time).
You can see a sample of my blogging style from my personal blog, which should be linked from my name (otherwise, it’s pantsfreesia.blogspot.com).
Thank you for your consideration! Perhaps you could propose a task for those of us wishing to be considered for the job to help you make the decision!

I’m going to sign myself up for this. If you look at the message board, you will see my name all over it. I am very active on this website. I think the ideal candidate would be somebody who is active, and i mean more than just on thursday nights, and somebody who you can rely on. Not to mention somebody who is humorous and can keep things light around here. Would they respect me? Yes. Would they like me? Irrelevant.

What is the best color?
Fact: Black is the most dominate.
If I am accepted for this position:
* I demand my own office (although a temporary workspace in the conference room would suffice).
*I won’t go behind your back and try to take the branch away
*I will do your laundry for a year
*I will strive to be the number 1 salesman 13 out of 12 months
I don’t sleep, I am never sick, I don’t take vacations, and don’t celebrate holidays. You may have my work number, home number, cell number, fax number, email address, pager number, blogspot, myspace address and instant messenger screen names.

Hey Kath,
Well for starters I would be honored to be the Assistant to the Regional Manager.
I am a very hard worker who has a lot of experience with working with others and motivating them to do the best job possible.
I have the time and willingness to commit to the position and make sure that all is covered within the Chicopee Branch. Like someone else said, I do not just look at our company’s website one night a week, I regularly look and see what is happening and what updates have been made.
I have excellent writing abilities, and know how to get the right mix of emotions to make sure everyone is having a good time, yet all the necessary work is being done.
Thank you for your consideration for this position!
Sincerely,
Breanne
